Now that Gutermann thread is local, I’m restocking my “thread wall” and simultaneously helping my great niece to build her own supply of basics as I teach her to sew.
I think it’s essential to start enthusiastic, new sewists to seek and use the best materials and products they can so that their resultant projects are beautiful and thus serve as encouragement to continue on their sewing journey.
So far we’ve just made a few catnip toys AND 7 pillowcases (she has 3 siblings), but seeing her create beautiful pieces and the resultant joy in her results makes me certain it’s best to introduce her to the importance of using good quality fabric AND thread.
So thrilled! Absolutely charmed by the fabric I bought and the encouraging owner of the store. Project complete. I’ll be back.

I contacted the seller to ask a few questions regarding a specific fabric and she recommended purchasing a swatch. It arrived on time. Unfortunately, the fabric wasn't a close enough match for the fabric I needed, but I'll be adding it to my list of resources!

Rec'd quickly and as pictured. First time using bamboo sweatshirt fleece. It is a little thinner than expected and has a tendency to curl when ironing. Wonderfully soft.
