This rayon challis fabric from France was inspired by the captivating works of Claude Monet, painted by the edge of his enchanting pond in the village of Giverny. The pattern is reminiscent of a painter's palette, with vibrant paint daubs scattered across its surface. Shades of fuchsia, blue, turquoise, purple, orange, dance across a navy background.

Rayon challis is a fine, lightweight, woven fabric with very fluid drape and a slight sheen. It has a texture similar to silk and is highly breathable, making it great for summer dresses, skirts, and blouses. Rayon fibers are made from the cellulose of trees. While the cellulose must be processed to be turned into fabric, it is derived from natural, non-petroleum sources and is fully biodegradable.

One reason we love this fabric is how human and eco-friendly it is. The rayon fibers are made with pulp from Forest Stewardship Council certified woodlots and the fabric is Oeko-Tex STeP certified, which not only ensures it is free of toxic chemicals, but that it also made with the wellness of workers in mind.
