Handwoven Yarn Dyed Cotton Fabric in Magenta | Fair Trade from India
Very Limited Quantity Available!
Perfect for summer makes! This is a super lightweight cotton in pinkish-red and white woven in West Bengal, India by a cooperative of traditional artisans. The threads used to make the fabric are space dyed, and the weaving creates it's beautiful, criss crossing pattern. The fabric is very lightweight, slightly translucent with a crisp drape, perfect for breezy garments on hot summer days.
Handwoven fabric is different from machine made! You may find color variations, slubs, ties, and other irregularities in the fabric. The grainline may not be perfectly square in places. This is part of the unique nature of this special fabric; a characteristic to enjoy and not a flaw.
