French Viscose Rayon Fabric in Midnight Sketch

Midnight Sketch is a rayon challis fabric from France that evokes autumn flowers against a night sky. Sketched blossoms in dark coral, maroon, light pink, and deep mustard and blue climb across a navy background. Lightweight with a smooth hand and fluid drape, this would make a lovely dress or skirt, blouse, or flowy pants.

Rayon challis is a fine, lightweight, woven fabric with very fluid drape and a slight sheen. It has a texture similar to silk and is highly breathable, making it great for summer dresses, skirts, and blouses. Rayon fibers are made from the cellulose of trees. While the cellulose must be processed to be turned into fabric, it is derived from natural, non-petroleum sources and is fully biodegradable.

One reason we love this fabric is how human and eco-friendly it is. The rayon fibers are made with pulp from Forest Stewardship Council certified woodlots and the fabric is Oeko-Tex STeP certified, which not only ensures it is free of toxic chemicals, but that it also made with the wellness of workers in mind.
